A one-of-a-kind original oil painting on a 6 × 6-inch cradled birch panel.
To me, the sound of cicadas is the sound of an Arkansas summer. Their familiar buzzing fills the trees on those long, hot summer days, and I can’t imagine summertime without them. I’ve always been fascinated by these unusual little creatures, especially their delicate wings and intricate details. I wanted to capture some of that beauty in this painting.
