There’s something magical about fireflies on a warm Arkansas summer evening. I remember watching their tiny lights blinking through the darkness, turning an ordinary backyard into something wonderful. Even now, seeing those little flashes brings back some of my favorite summer memories. I wanted to capture these fascinating little creatures in oil, with their delicate wings and glowing bodies. (and these three glow!)
A little reminder of those magical summer nights when the air is warm, the world slows down, and even the smallest creatures can light up the darkness.
